Anyone needing there TSX modified, technical advice on products,
installations, etc, PM me.

I am a professional mechanical engineer for 25 years, auto mechanic since the age of 12, rebuild many cars and engines and am offering my services
to fellow TSX owners around Nashville. I have done most of the typical mods on my own TSX and know all the specifics to do it right, have all the tools.
I stay current on the products and research and can help you.

My dealer wanted $600 to install springs, local shops wanted $350,
I would do it for $200. I can help you in Tennessee.

Sorry guys haven't checked in for a couple weeks.

I live near Gary Force. I'm an Engineer, 46 years old.
I was a mechanic since 13 years old, I worked in a gas
station since 10 years old, started working alone at nights
and finished all the jobs the day shift
guys got stuck on. That was when no one went to the dealers and we
did it all in the gas stations. I went on road calls, always new what
parts to take with me, blown condenser, coil, battery terminal, blew
people away when already knew what the problem was, just a kid.

I worked my way through engineering school
turning wrenches on British cars. I had motors out of MG's, quick
ring bearing rebuilds and finished the same day.
I restored a 1973 Triumph TR6 in
the 80's, build some engines for a friend and the british car club. Then
haven't done much for 10 years until I got into working on my TSX.

I did all the mods on my TSX and thought I could do this for
some people here and save them alot of money. I was blown away
when Gary Force said $650 plus $100 alignment to install lowering
springs.

I'm setting up a system to do own alignments in my garage but
right now you will have go for an alignment after suspension
work.

I have the comptech 110-160 and got a signficant drop, about 1.75".
These definitely need the Neuspeed/koni struts and rear camber kit
which I did. My ride was already stiffer just from 18" tires.
The ride is now a bit to stiff on bad roads for my taste, but the handling,
like it's on rails. It' depends on your roads. For bad roads or if your sensitive
to maintain the stock ride characteristics I would recommend the
A-spec.

Even so, I have had a G35 and TL loaners from the dealer and I am
always grateful to get my car back, it's stiff but I like it. Just have
to be watchful of the potholes.

My next adventure is to test drive an A-spec to get a comparison to
my setup.

Thanks for the info. Im not too worried about the ride. I dont live very far from work so I dont need to worry about long commutes.

Yea, I was thinkin about the koni's, I have the camber kit already.

Joerockt, look at the Neuspeed/Koni. About $100 cheaper on Ebay.
They have 5 spring seat heights
vs Koni has 3. If your sure to stay on lowering springs they have -20mm
stroke, which is important because some springs will fit loose onto stock
strut length. The comptech 110-160 fit onto stock struts without
a spring compressor, needs a shorter strut.
