TSXClub window stickers/decal design entries

Here are the stickers several members have come up with so far. More stickers/decals are in the making, but vote on which ones you like so far. The deadline is March 2nd, cast your vote on what we have here. I will add new entries as they become available.

I wouldn`t mind making the background clear and having two different colours for the text. Static cling would be cool too!

are u guys sure u want the 2 color design??? seriously its costs alot more with the 2 color design if u use one color throughout its alot cheaper

I went for "Adee's decal design w/o the red "M."
But I think several of them are real good.

About the two-color: IMO not only isn't it worth the extra cost, it isn't even as good as one-color.

BTW......looks like we might be headed toward a very widely split vote, with several designs getting some support but nothing getting a VERY high %.

In that case, we could have a run-off among the top 2 or 3 -- although that might be hard because there might be almost a tie among 4 or 5 of them.

SUGGESTION: Don't necessarily go on the pure numbers of the votes, especially if some designs are like only 1 or 2 votes behind others -- that's really a tie.

Ultimately, it would probably be best for whoever is in charge of this (probably good for somebody to be designated) to use their judgment on what to do -- taking into account the votes of course, but also considering things like which one would be the most widely acceptable, which wouldn't necessarily be reflected in the vote numbers.

Of course if one of the designs starts pulling away in the vote, it's easy......

i can tell you guys rite away that those black letter will not standout, it'll be so hard to see!

all club stickers are white with no background!

however i do like the idea of puting the "Vancouver" in smaller letter

I wouldn't have expected any problem like that about the black letters, but if this is so, then of course it would be very important to follow what Cyde is saying.

Also: Cyde had a good design too -- shouldn't it be in the poll?

Cyde is right about the colors of the lettering, but i think i said something about this in the other thread. that all the black can be easily inverted to white, for windows w/ tints and such.

btw, great designs all.

I think we should have a general location like tsxclub.com British Columbia and not something to Specific.

I call team leader for Burnaby even though I dont live there!

since the club is not specific to any region, neither should the region.
oh and making specific region stickers would be more expensive to produce.
oh and i feel u shouldnt really need to say "tsxclub.com vancouver" when i drive around vancouver... i dont want ppl to say "no shit, you're driving in vancouver" haha. its like driving a Honda Civic with a big ass sticker that says "Powered by Honda" umm yeah ok just my 2cents

We can always switch the text to white or another colour for the tinted people. Nothing is set in stone right now so the sooner we decide on the logo, the soon we can figure out that stuff.

I thought it would be interesting to have the last letter in red because the last letter in Euro-R is red just some inspiration I guess

That's totally different, because that last letter is sort of a new word (you know what I mean).

With "tsxclub.com" IMO it just looks weird and confusing.
But wth do I know -- a lot of people seem to like it.

I know this is going with my own bias, but I think that although some people might REALLY LIKE that final red letter, it would be just unacceptable to a lot of people. I think you'd have fewer people getting the sticker if it was that way. OTOH the ones that did get it would like it more than they'd like something that was more plain.

Take your pick. I'd go with something more broadly acceptable.

i agree with larch. not cause my designs are in the polls, but cause making the M red doesnt mean anything. its not like a RSX type S (red S) or euro-r or whatever.
i actually really like Adee's new designs. from the set above^

I have a proposal. It's along the lines of what I've been saying in some of the posts:

SCREW THE POLL!

Not because it was a bad idea, but because it's becoming pretty clear that the result will be a lot of the designs getting some support, but no one design getting a very high percentage.

And it's not like it's sour grapes or sore loser on my part, because the one I voted for is actually WINNING.

The thing is, it would be nuts to pick one because it got 27% whereas others got 18% or 13%.

Suggestion:

-- Scrap the poll.
-- Then let's go back to just discussing it, with Adee's new designs included, as well as anything else that anybody wants to submit in the next day or whatever.
-- Then just have one person or a couple of people be designated to decide. I would suggest Joker, but if he doesn't want it or if people don't like the idea it could be one of the people who's been very involved in this, maybe Adee since he initiated it and he seems to have a real good sense of the whole thing.

I think that whatever gets decided through such a process would be good -- because ALL the designs are pretty good and because the person would certainly use common sense in evaluating what people have said.

But it wouldn't be that great for one to be picked just because 27% of us (including me) voted for it.

P.S. I'll shut up about it if y'all decide to just go with the poll. :D

I would like to thank everyone for the support and encouragement on the whole decal idea. Secondly I love the response and feedback I’ve been getting on my designs even though some of them are wacky.

I’m going to try to read everyone’s feedback and incorporate everyone’s idea into my last few proposals, so I hope your guys will like it..

I'll just say that they're ALL good, and I would be happy with any of them, except IMO two of them (the first one and the third one) have big problems but it seems they could be ironed out easily.
Both of the problems are about whether people would be able to see easily what it says.

......I don't know why you grouped the "C" with TSX, rather than with the rest of "club" -- I guess to make it more cool. But I think it would make it hard for most people to see what it says.

I think the first rule of graphics is that the message should be easily readable. The way those things are right now, maybe they're more artistic, but they don't convey the message clearly.
