I wanted to see how many people are interested in clear or smoke diffuser replacements for our headlights. If enough people are interested the pair will go for $50.
Admins/Mods: This is an interest only poll and not a sale. If the diffusers have enough interest and make production, I will have the vendor contact you and work everything out.
The quality and finish product is a bigger concern than pricing, if you ask me. But that is a very acceptable figure to request.
Here are the diffusers from S2000's..

you could always browse ebay for some replacements... ive seen them as cheap as 200 for the pair
Yeah, pay $50 to put grey tint in front of my headlights and make them less effective?
Sure, I'm all over that... oh, wait, that would be stupid.

Thanks, I understand now. I thought they were talking about tinted replacements for the clear covers. For the marker lights, meh, I wouldn't personally do it but I wouldn't call somebody stupid if they did.
I will say that since the stock driver's side headlight unit leaked and filled the HID inverter with water and blew it up, I wouldn't be likely to try cracking open and resealing my headlights.

It is actually legal to have the front diffusers not be amber color. But it is illegal for you to have clear corners and clear bulbs in the rear. Also you are allowed to have clear corners just not a bright white bulb in the rear. Info Courtesy from '98 California DMV Driver Laws Book

Year old thread...I know many of you have clear/smoked diffusers now, but what happened to this $50 price? I haven't seen any diffusers go for only $50... (Which makes more sense for a clear piece of plastic)

for those of you who are too afraid to open your lights and replace them, and are afraid of leakage, if you ever decide to, for $50 I can professionally replace them for you. I've baked and opened about 6 sets of lights by now (when installing angel eyes), and none of them leak. Some of you who know what a perfectionist I am will know it's a good deal.
^ Sadly, you don't live around me...or else that $50 is urs!!

:werd:
I'd pay double that if opening the assembly could be avoided.

double ain't gonna do it... only magic would :grinno:
for those of you who are afraid of this, let me tell you, it's not as big a deal as you think it may be. If done properly, there would not be ANY difference between a headlight that was opened and closed, and one that was never opened. Thre's NO WAY it can leak or fog up, UNLESS it's not closed properly, the bulb grommets/seals are not fit in properly, or the salt bags are bad. The people wo complain about their headlights leaking or fogging up must have one of these problems:
1) Someone did a crappy job in closing the light
2) Whoever refitted all bulbs did not fit them in properly
3) The salt bag was removed, or hard from moisture acummulated over time. This is a simple fix - hitting the salt bag with a wood stick will loosen the grains again and it will work just fine.
Again, if you ever want me to do this, you can even ship me the lights, but you'd have to cover shipping charges both ways.

actually, it was me who did their lights and Jay's ;)
chyllin just told me one of headlights is getting moisture, but that's because he had really used up and shity salt bags. We loosened them up and I thought that would help, but apparently that's not enough. It needs to be replaced.

Correct me if i am wrong.. this is the ez and cost effective way to make the lights look like the JDM ones? Where the corner fo the light is clear?
If so ive already got a pair of JDM lights on order so count me out :mardi:

what salt bags are you referring to? I popped out the headlights today and plan on blacking out the diffusers but there were no salt bags inside

there are white bags on the inner wall of the headlight housing next to the HID reflector

I just "molested" my JDM headlights but, I'd like to do this on my USDM headlights.
