What do y'all think of this recent event?

Vert selfish on her part; she could have at least called her parents. They must have been worried sick.
But, I don't believe that she broke any laws. Sure, she initially lied when picked up, but this girl obviously wasn't thinking straight during this whole ordeal. Clinton didn't do any time for lying-she sure shouldn't.
The officials are already talking about the $60K they spent looking for her. Now getting lawyers involved to see if there's anything they can charge her with- they'll spend double that prosecuting her.

My wife is in the Junior League with Jennifer here (but they are not friends), my cousin went to school with her (cross-country I think) and we know folks that were going to the wedding.

BTW, I'm torn between poll answer #1 or #3. :donno: I'm sort of leaning toward Sean Hannity's view of it all. :)
Lastly, this link is funny (political oriented):

Yeah, I heard folks saying that today and I think that is a very good point and the Clinton bit is good as well. ;)

I think she should apologize to the community and the police. Also, she should face the charges for making up her kidnapping story and face jail time and a hefty fine. A lot of police and people wasted their time looking for her when all along it was planned.:thumbsdow
I'd rather see her goto jail for a year or two, pay the fine, and do some community service.

I think we shouldn't hear about this all day, every day. Does anyone really give a shit??
<no offense intended>

Hey, y'all, didja catch that?? -- HondaMan knows the "runaway bride"!!!!
Larchmont, who loves how they always come up with a catch phrase for 15-minute celebrities.
I picked "minimal punishment," but I'm just guessing.
I don't know what I would think, without knowing more about her and the situation.
(What else do you expect from a "liberal"?) :D
But I gotta believe she's probably a troubled person -- not just that this situation was causing her "stress" or whatever, but that she's a troubled person, period.
I don't think that should get her off (heh heh) but it should be taken into account.

I agree. I've been laughing at how every channel seems to have been having "runaway bride" stories constantly for the last few days. I guess people can't get enough of it.

LOL Well, I don't think I have ever met her but I certainly know folks that have.
BTW, I ended up voting #1 but would be fine with #3.

How much would it be worth to us to get her on here?
I'm offering 100 bucks, no questions asked.
Anybody else wanna fatten the pot?
I'm not chipping in anything. There are enough idiots I can talk to on the internet for free.
I think she should get community service and a nice fat bill for an unneccessary manhunt.

Well, it looks like I went to junior high with Jennifer. I don't remember her, but I'm sure I saw here around the hallways of North Hall Junior High which is about 5 miles up the road from my home. BTW, Jennifer would have been in 7th grade when I was in 8th grade there. I went on to go to high school in Gwinnett Co. (Brookwood High)...the same county she lives in now (the neighboring county to the south).

Actually, I can't find her in my 8th grade 1986 NHHS yearbook. So, I guess she moved here the following year or was in Gainesville city schools at that time. :donno:
