For the past few nights I have been hearing a really strange noise coming from the sunroof (I think). It is not a rattle but it kind of sounds like rain is hitting it something like a creaking, I really don’t know how to describe it. It sounds terrible and is really annoying. Has this happened to anyone? Maybe it is because of the weather. During the day it has been pretty warm and at night it drops considerably. Let me know what you think.

Roof closed, and shade open
happens to me since Day 1....No leaking so I just ignore it and since I have shade closed most times I dont hear anything.
Have your dealership checked it out, they'd fix the noises for you with the correct lubrication recommended by Honda/Acura.

HELLO
you did not mention if you had installed a dealer bought "sunroof deflector".
the factory deflectors do tend to "increase" the vibration and windnoise somewhat of the sunroof itself. (and surrounding area)
(although not everyone who has installed this acc. item experiences this).
i installed one of these on my car. the level of noise etc increased dramatically...........so off it went
very quite now.
just a suggestion your way..........

i know what you are talking about..
i did this myself.. or you can goto a dealer.. there should be a service bulletin. if not.. i will post pics of what i am talking about.
lubrication is one thing but it is temporary.
i used this long skinny clear tape.. and tape it onto the opening of the moonroof.. not on the rubber. but on the body itself. and all the way around.. and it will stop "that" noise.
as for the popping noise when opening.. that i have noticed.. i am still trying to figure it out.

I had the same sunroof noise and was told to use lithium grease (not WD40) on the sunroof weatherstripping OR a silicon spray/grease applied with a towel. I haven't tried it yet, but others have said this works well on all Hondas/Acuras with sunroofs.

I had the exact noise described above, and used Jig-A-Loo spray (silicone spray) on a shop towel (or ten) and cleaned/lubricated the black weatherstripping that's covered in dirt/pollen and touches metal.
Worked like a charm, and took all of 5 minutes. Hint: Tilt the sunroof open to get 75% of it, and then open the sunroof to get the front 25%. ;)
