I have an 05 CG/Navi with oem body kit. I live in Hoboken, NJ, and I would like to get some tints on my car. I am thinking about light tints like 35% all around. Can anyone recommend any spots?...especially ones that have experience with the TSX. I've asked a few of my friends and shops about getting tints that won't affect my navi/reception, and all of them looked at me like I was crazy.

I'm in Lodi and looking for a good shop as well. I heard from a guy that there's few real good tint places in the Bronx, but I don't feel like spending the whole day for commute and tint job. I'm goin' to look around my area, but if anybody has some recommendations, I'd appreciate it. I'll definitely go with 35% - good enough to block the sun and create nice tint effect. You go with anything darker and cops will be on your back, and it'll be hard to see what's in your mirrors at night. Of course, if you get across an eager young rookie, he'll get you for tint on front sides, anyway, no matter how light.
O, and I seriously doubt your tint will have any effect, whatsoever, on your NAVI.

I found a shop in Passaic that looks and feels professional. They charge $160 for TSX with Johnson tint. The guy who does it was on vacation this week, so I may try him on Friday (I'm busy Mon-Thu) next week. I'll see what they're about and will let you know.
Comparing to muchers like Action Tire on Rt.46 where they want $285 for 3M tint, I think it's a bargain.
Is Johnson a good brand to go with? Or is 3M better?

Alright, I found someone who was recommended to me. It turns out he provides professional services to various retailers, including dealerships. So if you bring your car to a dealer to tint windows, they charge you $300 and they hire him to do the job. He charges the dealer $200, but if you come to him directly, it's only $170. Below is his business card which I scanned because it has a lot of info I didn't feel like writing. He's got his own website, too. And his work is superb. Just did my TSX with 35%.
If you call him, just mention you got his number from the TSXCLUB on the net.
