Hi folks,
I have been noticing since a few days that even with the A/C and fan being off, the blowers still keep blowing warm air out. :donno:
Sometimes when I press the OFF button (left of the NAVI screen) a few times, it does stop but most of the time NOT, I think this is a problem with the air-conditioning/blowers but would like to know if anyone else here has had this particular problem. Also, yesterday was a toaster of a day and the cooling didnt impress me at all. At traffic lights, it just did not blow any cool air just warm-ish air which when the car started moving again, became cooler. Have not contacted the dealership yet but am planning to soon enough if this continues.
Appreciate any feedback from the folks here.

did you choose the option of only circulating air within the vehicle?
since if u didn't choose dat option... wen you move, u'll feel air blowing out from the vent... so juz choose circulate air within the car.. dat should close the valve and u shouldn't experience ne more warm air...
as for AC not cool enuf.. dat iono =(
hehe mine works fine... mayb juz do the same thing... choose the option of circulating inside ur car...
since u've already cool down the air inside ur car.. why not take dat to an adv... instead of taking hot air from outside =)

if you have the TSX service manual, you can run a self-diagnosis test on the HVAC system [pages 21-9 and 21-10] which will return one/many error codes and direct you to the appropriate page of the manual to [hopefully] fix the problem...
My HVAC fans died this morning and the AC doesn't seem to engage when I turn it on... so i don't know the extent of the problem... the AC never made any noise or behaved badly... I hope it's just a fuse...

well I did the self-diagnosis test on the HVAC system and it returned code N which means "a problem with the blower motor circuit" and the I proceeded to the procedure to fix it: the first step was to check 2 fuses and they were OK...
now I have to take the car to the dealer!?!?!?
How much is this going to cost????
================================================== ==========
the Honda dealer diagnosed a faulty transistor in the blower and replaced it... parts = $100, labor = $200 for a total job of $350...
that's a lot better than $2000 to $4000 that I've seen on this forum...
I tested my HVAC today and it works very well...
Good luck to all of you, J.

Mine also continue blowing out air after I press the off button. I think that happens on most cars?
Just FYI, the A/C isn't as cold when you are stopped and idling because the engine isn't spinning and taking a load off the A/C unit. Having the A/C on while idling will use a lot of gas and create a strain on the system because it has to work overtime to power itself. When you get moving, the engine spins the pulleys which takes a big load off the system. Not much extra energy is needed for A/C when just cruising.

Yea I've been meaning to make a post about this issue. I get air blown into the car as well when everything is off. This is very noticeable on the highway. I'm gonna run those self-diagnostic tests from the service manual and see if anything comes up. I don't know if I should hope that it's normal or some kind of issue.. because it gets annoying sometimes
