This has definitly been beaten to death, but I havent heard any success stories yet.

It's the summer time and we should definitly organize something and I am dead serious! NY/NJ/CT would be awesome so lets at least make an attempt.

What say you!

How 'bout Seaside Heights, one of the weekends? But I'm highly open to other suggestions.

Well, Im now back...so as I said, Id like to Organise a Meet sometime this month... Three Places I think would be the best (although its a little bit of a drive from Jersey) are either...Nassau Colissuim, Jones Beach, or the Palasades Mall...

Peregrine
07-02-2005, 06:10 PM
Palisades Mall, West Nyack, Upstate NY is definitely the best for me out of those 3.

Nuke
07-02-2005, 06:18 PM
Palisades Mall wouldnt be a problem, but down the shore would be an even better location after all, all of us fellow tsx owners can streak down the sandy beach in speedos haha

So maybe we can do belmar, seaside or jones beach

If you guys had one closer to CT, I'd be interested in going on a road trip.

anywhere in NY/NJ/CT beach or park where we can do BBQ and kick back

Nuke
07-03-2005, 02:02 AM
alright, if we were to pick a location down the Jersey shore, are any of you willing to stay overnight? Since it wouldn't be fair to the folks in boston or fairfield to have them drive back the same day. This should be an overnight event anyways so we can just kick back without worrying about driving back etc. and make it a great weekend trip.

Next location option would be somewhere in CT such as Wateford which would be also convenient for anyone up north such as Boston. Anyone know of other good beaches in that area?

If the majority of you would just want to stay for one day we can pick a beach/park location that is closer to the majority here (except our fellow member from BOSTON) such as LONG BEACH,LI or JONES BEACH maybe. After all, an overnighter would be awesome regardless of location.

Lets see if more people are interested so we can see where everyone is located and then pinpoint the location. So far I would say that it would be theNJ shore or LI.

here is a list of great places at LONG BEACH that would definitly let us carry this thing out

let me know so I can start calling these places to get some info n such

I'm strongly up for any place in NJ or upstate NY. Don't particularly feel like beating my car through traffic and pot holes of NYC and LI. BBQ would be a +, beach'd be nice too, but those are not a necessity for me. As long as we meet up, it'll be a start.
bbbbb5
O, and we (I & my wife) can most likely stay overnight, too, depending on day and location, of course.

Nuke

alright

well I have taken into account many considerations and I think that BELMAR,NJ would be the best place to do it.

Great hang out spots, boardwalk, beach, grills etc and then we can do a cruise down the main drag of Belmar onto Parkway and back. We should def. stay overnight since it would be convenient for everyone and experience some night life :woot:

here is the official site for Belmar Beach and this link will direct you straight to great places to eat/ hang out and have this thing.
BELMAR (http://www.belmar.com/Default.asp?Section_ID=400)

We can either do it in one of their parking lots which shouldn't be a problem since that means more business for them or a public parking lot where we can bring portbale BBQ's and do it concert/football game style.

Let me know who is in so I can create a list and maybe call the municipal building to get some info or do it the rebel style and just occupy a parking lot.

Copy/paste this questionnaire

BELMAR: YES/NO
OVERNIGHT: YES/NO
LOCATION: PRIVATE(grill, sports bar etc.) or /PUBLIC PARKING LOT
TIME: (weekend) JULY/AUG

ME:

BELMAR: YES
OVERNIGHT: YES
LOCATION: doesn't matter
TIME: Any weekend in JULY and then AUG after the 18th since I'll be in Germany

Sorry for all this overwhelming info, but I am just trying to be professional about this and finally make one happen.

Peregrine

Sounds good
BELMAR: YES
OVERNIGHT: most likely YES
LOCATION: doesn't matter, as long as cars are safe from excessive crowd.
TIME: JULY or beg. of AUG. 'cause later I have to leave on vac. for a month.

I'd come if I could, if it's anywhere near here.
Come on! You can do it, Mark.

Yes -- how late is it going?
I have a graduation party in NJ that afternoon......

No, not MY graduation. :D

Edit: No can do.
I see that Belmar is pretty far from where I'll be in NJ.

Peregrine

It's supposed to be an overnight meet - that means until Sunday. How late? 'til people get tired and start goin' home... I don't know. Depends on everybody. So the more the better. See this: http://www.tsxclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8029
Come on, I'm a :newbie: and definitely don't know how tight you are in the club, but if you people can't make a decision, how do you ever expect to meet up? In your dreams... :blackbat:
If the place or time isn't good, start making votes, but VOICE IT!
I think it's very commendable that Nuke took it on his shoulders to organize this meet. The least we owe him is PARTICIPATION IN PLANNING. Otherwise... forget 'bout it! :werd:
Whoever can make this, please go to this link to confirm: http://www.tsxclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8029

larchmont

How much does it cost to go to Jersey?
Or maybe you mean you can't afford to breath the air there? :D

Old joke:
This guy and his chik are parked, and they're starting to have a great time.
After a while she says passionately, "Kiss me where it smells." :D
So he drives to Jersey.

Peregrine

:hmmph:
At least you won't get arrested in NJ for telling that joke.

not much development in this thread. Seems like everyone gave up on this meet. Well, at least LI worked out.
