I'm experiencing a squeaking noise coming from the top of the driver's side window when driving over a slighty bumpy road.

I've tried everything from Pro Honda silicone spray to 303 Aerospace and I still get the same annoying noise. I sprayed all the rubber gaskets/seals on the door and even the seal where the window goes into.

Took it to the dealer and they can't reproduce it. He was looking for a rattle sound even though I told him it's more of a squeaking sound. I was in the car when we test drove it but the mechanic continued to deny he heard anything.

I'm running out of ideas!! Does anyone have a solution to this?

Do you hear this as well when rolling the window up and down?

No, the noise occurs when the window is all the way up.

are you sure it aint the seatbelt? I have found that if not placed back correctly, the seatbelt on the passenger side will start to rattle.

I am sure it's not the seatbelt. I can only hear the sound from the driver's side window. It's more of a squeaking sound than a rattling sound.

i have a faint rattling noise coming from the passenger side when i drive alone... i was convinced it was the passenger seat but now i'm thinking it could be the window... does yours not make the noise when the window is not fully up?

Due to wind noise, it could be making some noise, but I can't tell.

I am very familiar with the complaint you have, and it is my biggest gripe with the car. It makes the car feel flimsy instead of solid. In my case, there are squeeking noises from both front windows. The problem is worst at slow speeds, over uneven road surfaces, and almost non-existant at highway speeds. The Acura mechanic has verified it and is quite familiar with it. He says that Acura/Honda used to get a lot of complaints about rubber window seals/gaskets wearing out too soon, so they made the rubber much more durable (harder). He tried some sort of lubricant on it, with very modest success. I personally think that Acura could fix it easily with a slightly thicker piece of rubber, so that the seal would be tighter with the window closed.

I would very much like to know if anyone has come up with a permanent fix. Most of the time, I lower the windows about 1/4 inch until I'm on a smooth road, above 30 mph. This doesn't let in any rain, and doesn't make wind noise at low speed.

I've read through numerous posts about the type of lubricants people have used on their cars.

Gummi-Pfledge, 303 Aerospace, Wurth Rubber Care Gel, Zymol Seal, etc. People who have used those products, please comment on how you like/dislike the product. Thanks.

I just bought a tube of shin-etsu silicone grease and planned on using it on the window seals (the harder seals where the window comes in contact with once rolled up). Is this safe to do?

My guess is that it won't hurt the rubber, but that it will be sloppy - especially on the edge of the window whenever it is down. And, when you put your arm out the window, you'll ruin your shirt sleeve. If you decide to give it a try anyway, please let me know how it works out.

Perhaps it's time for us to ask Acura headquarters for a new rubber seal design?

Does your weatherstripping pop out pretty easily? I noticed this when I tried lubricating it with 303 last week. When I tried to wipe the underside of the weatherstrips, it would just release itself from the door frame.

I thought Acura would have put some sort of adhesive to hold it down, but I was able to wiggle it around quite a bit. Maybe it's moving around against the metal frame of the car when I'm driving on uneven roads and causing a rubbing or squeaking sound.

Any thoughts?

I have the same problem! My car is 7 months old now. During the winter months, I had creaking noises coming from the windshield. It would go away during/after a heavy rain. Now during the summer, the windowshield creak is gone and has moved into the drivers side window. I hear it every time I accelerate from stop, or brake to a full stop. I'm sure it's probably there on the hwy as well...but road noise covers it.

If anyone discovers a solution, please let the rest of us know.

Bump. The rubber seals on all my windows squeak. Have more had this problem? Is there any fix? Can Acura replace this?
