First, there's a squeaking noise coming from behind my NAVI which they did fix. Now, after 1,100 kms, a check engine light. When I started the car, it was kind of hesitating to start, but did start. So I shut off the engine, turned it back on, and the check engine light comes on. Has anyone experienced a check engine light right after the car was broken in?

This may be a lot of things. The simplest is that you had your car running while the gas cap was off (maybe when you were pumping gas). If that's not it, it may be a sensor (any sensor) or maybe something is just disconnected. Open up your hood and check for any disconnected hoses and stuff. Other than that, you'd have to have it checked on a computer - dealer time again. :smash:

yep, gotta click that gas cap three times or your engine light might come on.

The funny thing is....after I filled up, I turn the gas cap so I hear the "clicks" a few times....no engine light at that time until a day later. So, the 1st thing I checked was the gas cap. Took it off, screwed it back in, still the light. Did it a 3rd time later on last night...still no change. This morning I did it again, light still on. So I drove to the dealership told them about the issue. The service advisor took the cap off, then screwed it on, this time the light went out. I know how to put a gas cap on (lol), but don't know why when the service advisor did it, it was resolved. Oh well....plus....wouldn't the light come on immediately after the fill up if I didn't put the cap on properly, and not a day later?

i just traded in my jeep GC for the TSX. on the jeep, the car did a evaporator test whenever you started the car while the engine was cold. it doesnt do the test while it is warm or hot. So the light would turn on the next day and not right away. Of course Jeeps are not Hondas but thats something i learned from owning it. also the car would have to cycle the evaporator leak test 3 times with no leak (Loose cap) before the engine light would shut off

I just had a check engine light go on and took it to the dealer and it turns out it needs a new O2 sensor and I only have 4000 miles on the car.

I had the O2 sensor replaced earlier this year on my TSX as well. It also caused the check engine light to come on. At the time my car had 17k miles.
