The little screen between the gauges shows that my trunk is always open 90% of the time the other ten percent mostly when i go over bumps it quickly blinks off. I am not sure what would be causing it. The only guess I have is that what ever wire send the signal some how broke.

If the wire broke, it would not show the indication of open trunk. There's a blue/black wire on green plug on side of fuse box. Pin P24 (check wiring diagrams of fusebox -3rd page from the top - included in this post to find P24: http://www.tsxclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7873). That is the trunk trigger. If there is ground on that wire, it means the trunk is open and indicator shows. It's possible that the wire was damaged somewhere along the way from the fuse box to the trunk and is touching chasis. That puts ground on the wire and it shows the trunk indicator. It may also be a malfunction of the switch in the trunk, where it touches ground all the time. But I never looked at that switch and I'm not even sure if that wire is the same color code at the switch. The best method to check is disconnect the plug from the switch in the trunk and see if there is still ground on that wire. If so, it means it's not coming from the switch. Then disconnect the green plug from the fusebox and again check that wire on the plug side. If it's still grounded, that means it's touching chasis somewhere between those 2 plugs (fusebox and trunk switch plugs). Go to another point in the middle, cut the wire and check both sides for ground again. Continue checking always towards the side where the ground shows, until you find the grounded place. Good luck.
