:woot: So, in about 15-20 years when I might be ready (able) to buy one...it will be a V10! Or make the V6 models even cheaper, so I might be able to get one of those sooner! :D

(a R&D man like myself) ;)
< NSX successor >
We are now focused on the development of a new model to succeed the NSX for a new era. We would like to debut a new super sports car equipped with a V10 engine in 3 to 4 years. Please look forward to seeing the NSX successor.
< HondaJet >
HondaJet will make its first public demonstration flight next week, July 28, at EAA AirVenture 2005, an annual exhibition of experimental aircraft, held in OshKosh, Wisconsin. Since its maiden flight in December 2003, HondaJet has taken numerous test flights. Total flight time to date has reached 150 hours, and HondaJet has so far achieved its maximum altitude of 13,000 meters and maximum speed of 728km/h. Honda will continue its testing efforts for HondaJet which improves fuel efficiency by 40% compared to existing aircrafts in its class by combining excellent aerodynamic performance with the high fuel efficiency of Honda’s HF118 engine.
I would love to go to OshKosh to see this jet in action! I'll be headed to Kansas City that day on business...maybe I'll cross paths with it in the air. hehe ;)

V10 is nice, it would be comparable in performance with the Lambos and Ferrari supercars. I wonder what this will lead to in 3-4 years. We'll find out.

Sweet, but 3-4 years is a long time, especially as (if I understand correctly) current NSX production will cease at the end of this year.
lokman, who's dreaming of a V10 with SH-AWD

Yeah, a 3-4 year wait is fine because I will not be able to get one for another 20 years or so. LOL :D

One must read into the fine print of that speech. Mr Fukui said ..."We would like to debut a new super sports car equipped with a V10 engine in 3 to 4 years. Please look forward to seeing the NSX successor"...LIKE being the key word here. His little speech about the NSX replacement has worked to full effect...its got the NSX world buzzing. But I think when reality hits seeing a V10 2nd Gen NSX is about as real as seeing a production DNX. The cost of R/D and production of a V10 will be mind blowing. The limited amount of super sports car a company can sell will never off set the cost of R/D.
This V10 speech will lead to something else for sure...like a production V8 which Honda's R/D dept has already begun.

Well, like I'll take a V8 too dude. hehe ;)
Also, I bet Honda R&D does have some kind of V10 in the works...they take pride in their engine development (see racing applications) and what better way to show case it but in a "super" NSX of some kind. After all, it is their top performance car and it has always lacked power compared to other sports cars in its class. We'll just have to wait and see. :)

The X has not always lacked power...it was ahead of the game for a short time.

Maybe, for a very short time. Any ways, it makes up for it in handling and more, which is more important to me.

Osh Kosh...
Wish I could be there too. I would really like to go to that air show. Our planes are there on display too...besides the Honda Jet Engine.

Cool, you got a link for your planes? They look pretty cool and I can't say I have seen them before.
Edit: I see now you edited out the airplane types and link...why?

Sorry, I didn't think anyone would really care if posted all the pictures.
The A500 is the piston engine/propeller.
The A700 is the jet engine plane.
Both are made from carbon fiber.
Here is the link for more pictures.
