Is there anyone else notice the front driver side headlight beams different from the passanger headlight? It seems like something is blocking part of the light on the driver side.
I made a visit to the local dealership today and was told it's normal. It's to prevent "blinding" on-coming traffic.
Help???? Is this true? :newbie:

If you're talking about the cutoff (where it seems to step-down to a lower level as you more right to left), then yes it's normal, and for the same reason your Acura tech told you.
Usually the beams from EACH headlight look like this: _____/''''''''''''' and that is normal.

Yes, that what I see on the driver side: _____/""""""""
The beam is lower on the driver side and the passanger side is higher. It kinda bothers me. I thought maybe the dealer did something when they installed my foglights.
So, this is normal, eh? I have never seen this before.
Yup very normal. You'll notice this on all cars with HID projectors.

The reason of _____/"""""""" HID light pattern set up is because in North America we are driving on the right hand side of the road, and this set up will minimize shine the light into the driver's eye that coming from the opposite direction. On the other hand, in Japan or other country that are driving on the left hand side of the road, the set up will be opposite such as """"""""\_____.

Correcto
I asked this question awhile back in another forum.
It makes sense that its trying to reduce some shine in your face.
Now who likes our hid projectors shining back at us heh.
