Man, the WRX STi and the M-series are seriously gonna get harassed.
What a bunch of crap. Just another way to make revenue for the cops, I think.

The whole thing is bogus. Definately nothing to do with public safety but with collecting revenue.
I have this image of a cop saying "I don't care if that exhaust is stock, I think it is too loud so I am writing you up. You can prove me wrong in court" Wat a waste of time.

:werd: its a waste of their time and taxpayers money.....pretty i see cops now as patroling revenue collectors....they don't care about public safety. I remember a news story on the news about gas station run offs and the police chief of this one city says its not their business to protect the gas station owner even if they have evidence and the license plate number of the offender. He said he'd rather have his officers getting speeders instead. I guess they want to go after getting revenue than protecting their citizens.
Then again this California crackdown will probably reduce the number of ricers on the streets. :donno:

Yep, we know the feeling out here in Honolulu. Cops are always targeting imports, not to mention, we have something extra called "recon". It's basically a permit you need to get when you modify your car. It involves passing an inspection given by state regulators in which 90% fail their first time around. Passing recon is so tough many people say "f* it" until a cop gives pulls you over for speeding then also gives you a ticket for tint and no recon...ouch!

from the words of Samual Jackson...."this is some f*cked up repugnant sh*t!" Why don't we all just trade in our cars and take public transportation from now on?

That's probably the point at some political level.

Every time I hear of s*** like this it makes me go ballistic. Political abuse and diminishing of privacy in US is growing rapidly (especially after 9-11). Where is the over-advertised "Freedom in America" ??! Pretty soon there'll be as much Freedom left in US as in any Communist Country. And don't anybody dare tell me that driving is a privilage, because this is another ancient BS that serves to keep people under the political regime.
