Malfunction Indicator Lamp on!?

AHH!! I just picked up my car on Monday; I've only driven it a few days and - danget - I'm already at the dealer.

As a matter of fact, I'm typing this post from the customer lounge on their computer. What a bummer - oh well - hopefully, I won't be back here for a until for my first service check.

Has anyone had this problem come up??

Yea, my car only has 5,000 miles and the check engine light came on the other day. I was worried. I took it to the dealer today to get an oil change, and I mentioned the check engine light. Apparently, it was something with the gas cap. The gas attendent didn't tighten it correctly. The fault code was P0442 (small leak). All is well now.. Keep us posted.

This report back is a little late - sorry -
My problem turned out to be computer hardware. The dealer had to keep the car over the weekend since they did not have the parts in stock. They gave me a loaner car for the weekend and my car was fixed that Monday afternoon - $845 all under warranty of course. Anyway, I just hit the 600 mile mark yesterdayand everthing else seems to be good so far.
