Hello everyone, I just got my TSX. I think it is a great car, with the the only problem when I try to start it up when it's hot. Has anyone experience this problem? I took mine back to the dealer and they said it is common issue with the TSX because of the anti theft system. Is there a way to repair this? aehe10

When you turn the key to turn it on it will not crank up right away. Especially if I had just turn it off and the engine is hot. Also in these hot days in Cali. Does anyone know what I mean?

You mean you turn the key and the starter literally does not crank the engine?
Or the engine cranks but does not fire?
If it's slow to crank and then catches, my guess is that you're experiencing the same as these people.....my TSX did it a couple of times in the winter.

FWIW, my wife's Ody battery died last Thursday, 17 months old, 17K miles, 1 winter (but garaged). She had to get jump started leaving work Thursday night, and she was freaking out because she had plans to go up to Maine for the weekend Saturday AM. She wanted me to go get a battery Thursday night. I convinced her to wait and let the dealer look at it Friday AM. They replaced the battery no charge, said they have had a bunch of battery problems in the last year or so.
I'm still not convinced she didn't leave something on, but this was my first visit to Honda service in over 10 years, and it went well.

if you read the owners manual, the car does it on purpose to keep emissions low. Mines done it once or twice but I appreciate that its doing it for the environment

That is the first time I hear about that one! I will sure look into it. I don't mind if that is the case. Today the car has started perfectly!

yup...
it's mentioned in your user quick guide. the intermittent slow cranks are strictly design-based.
i found this out through tsxclub too...
