taking out the center console storage area

Above the "this is not an ashtray" compartment there is a larger compartment to put junk in. Does anyone know how to get it out?

Long story short, driving to work I was on the phone and in the process of lighting my cigarette and I had to jam on the brakes and my smoke (not lit) flew into the tiny crack behind the larger console storage door. I can't get it out.

Yes I know most of you are gonna laugh but I want to get that smoke out. and it's Monday morning.

So if anyone knows how to take that storage thing out, let me know after you stop laughing at me.

Open the flip covers for the power outlet, "not-an-ashtray" tray, and the large storage compartment.

You'll notice that there's a small lip at the bottom where the large storage area sticks out a little bit. Use that as your grip and start yanking it out.

If this is the first time you've done this, it'll seem very tight and very stuck. Pull hard, but not necessarily fast - the plastic is hard and hurts when your fingers slip right off.

You can also use your hand and wedge it against the sides of the compartment for extra grip.

Yep Just Yank on the bottom lip, or hell even on the top door part, and the thing comes out
