OKAY! I`ve had my 2005 TSX for about 2months now and when you turn the radio off and it`s completley quiet it makes a little whistling humming sound when you go about 80 and it`s only when you`re holding the gas down. CRAZY ANNOYING!! DOES THIS HAPPEN TO ANYONE ELSE? please go on the FWY and drive around 80 turn everything off and just listen for that sound it`s like a little tea pot going off but when you stop pressing the gas it`s totally quiet. Now i took it in and they manager of maintenance test drove it with me and he was like whoa that`s weird then he called me back and test drove 3 other tsx`s and he said they all make all kinds of noises. BUMMER! so he asked me to turn it anyways and gave me a loner one and what do you know. my loner tsx made an even louder more awful sound. so please if you guys can do me a favor and see if your car makes the same noise i`d like to know. i think they need to have a recall because it seriousily sucks when i`m driving long distance and all i can hear is a humming sound. and trust me once you hear this sound your ALWAYS going to hear it and it`s going to make you so upset.....so do me a favor go on the free way and just listen.

Well, now there's no way in hell that I'm going to hunt for it!

oh please! it`s not hunting. you`ll hear it right away. the only reason why i heard it was cause i turned the music off to answer a phone call. it doesn`t upset you that you paid 30,000$ for a car that whistles? you don`t have to hunt for it. theres nothing to "hunt" for it`s just basically as turning your music off and listening while you`re above 80 and it gets worse at 90. this car has a flaw and it`s something they need to fix. for 30,000 bucks shitttt. they better fix it

I have the same problem. It does bother me but that only when i'm going that fast . But i have the car for 7 months now and I'm pretty much use to it. My advice....don't go that fast and never lower your volume. There are other rattling and unwanted noise but thats' why there's a radio in the car...use it! =)

i started noticing this whistle/ whining noise at high speeds and only when i was giving it gas. i was even noticing it at lower (40 mph) but it wasn't as loud. i brought it in to the dealer but they said they didn't hear anything. then a few weeks later my car died on the way back from the beach. i had to fight to get it into gear (5 speed). long story short my tranny was toast because i tried to save some money and get my 80k maint done at the tires plus near my job. they told me they could do the same exact work the dealer would do which was a lie. they ended up flushing the transmission fluid (should never have been done per vw) and replaced the gear oil w/ transmission fluid. lucky for me the car was at 99k and change. otherwise the dealer would have never investigated. i was able to get tires plus to replaced the tranny.
although i'm sharing this info, i really can't see this happening w/ a brand new car. it must be a different noise/ cause.

I too get this irritating noise when at 70-80 mph. When I told the dealer about it he said that it's a Honda feature!

Mine's quiet. But I have the 6MT. My wife's Trailblazer has that noise. I think it's related to the automatic trans...

I just got my 04 tsx a few weeks ago and i travel at highway speeds daily and have noticed this same noise!! and it is sooooo annoying! and i'm kind of worried now bc my factory warranty is expired :/ , i think or would the tranny be covered under the powertrain?.. anyways im hoping now that its not the tranny going bad.... But same experience- only does this ~70 + and a faint whistling noise when pressing the gas.

I believe its electrical noise. My Z use to do this and my 95 Accord EX use to do this whenever i was on the gas. Come to think of it, all of my car did this including my 07 TSX. My uncle's Caddy does this, does my mother's Santa Fe. Also I remember riding in my aunt's LS430 and her car did the same. So if a 70K car does it, then no problem with me. I kinda like it.

Is the noise you're hearing coming into the cabin through the shifter area? If so, I have that as well. it's a high pitched whine I hear all the time when driving. I"m pretty sure it's on all AT's and it's drive line noise. Super sucky!

i have that noise to but i added a custom 2 1/2 pipes and a greddy evo exhaust and a short ram intake that took care of the noise and i added a 900 watt sound system to take care of any other noises.
