Hi - recently I have noticed that sometimes when I depress the clutch pedal it feels a little grainy (ie not as smooth like it used to be). It is almost like I can feel a slight springy feeling whereas before it used to be like butter.
It is somewhat random - but always on depressing the clutch - not engaging the clutch. Eg if I run 2nd gear up to 60kph and then depress the clutch to change gear - I can feel it then - grainy feel from the top of the clutch pedal to the bottom.
It doesn't do this all the time - seems to happen more often when I run the revs up in the higher parts of the rev range - and the car needs to be warmed up.
Otherwise clutch feels fine - grabs fine, doesn't slip. There is also no noise at all in the clutch (save for the normal relay switch sound at the top of the pedal)
It doesn't bother me majorly - if this is how the car was like from new I wouldn't think twice. But given that it feels different - I wonder what this could be? The car has about 35,000kms on it. Transmission fluid was changed at about 20,000kms. Any ideas?
