Mugen Euro Confirms Civic Type-R Mugen Prototype
Drifting Videos | Car Racing Videos - GT Channel - Mugen Euro Confirms Civic Type-R Mugen Prototype
Now that word of Mugen's Euro exclusive Civic Type-R has spread across the net like wildfire, Mugen has finally emerged to confirm reports on their latest project. Mugen's European division has confirmed that they are currently working on a special Honda Civic Type-R project based on Japan's Honda Civic Mugen RR.
The Mugen Type-R prototype will be getting a specially tuned rendition of Honda's 2.0-liter i-VTEC four cylinder engine, while upgraded brakes, suspension, exhaust, and an aero kit will be configured by Mugen as well to complement the power upgrade.
As of now, Mugen is only focusing on a prototype with no future production plans yet, but given Europe's solid track record of snatching up some of the most exclusive Japanese tuner releases, we wouldn't be surprised to see a nice limited run for the Mugen Type-R once it's thoroughly tested.

I am digging it. Love hood vents... interested in how much more power the motor makes...
You know which hood vents I loved... the old school first gen prelude... with the mirrors on the fenders...
