Talking 2010 Acura Winter Driving Event


If you were wondering what the twitter updates and teasers in our forum were about, last week I was fortunate enough to be attending Acura's Winter Driving Experience at AET (Automotive Enviro Testing) in Baudette, MN. I will have a more detailed report on the experience later, but suffice it to say it was an amazingly enjoyable experience and it was the perfect setting for Acura to demonstrate the sophistication their SH-AWD and Vehicle Stability Assist systems relative to those offered by competitors. The Acuras we drove included the MDX, ZDX, and TL SH-AWD 6MT. The list of competing products included the 2010 Audi Q7, 2010 BMW 335xi, 2010 BMW X6 3.5 xDrive, 2010 Infiniti FX35, and 2010 Lexus RX350.

We are planning to bring you coverage of the Odyssey Concept reveal at the 2010 Chicago Auto Show tomorrow (weather permitting) so it will probably be several days before our full story on the Winter Driving Experience is released, so stay tuned...

Nice to see the SH-AWD perform well on that slippery slope compared to the Lexus and Audi SUV.
