Rotor and Brakes: Where to buy

Hi All,

Now that I've decided to go aftermarket, I can't decide what to get.

Brembo or Hawk

I need both rotor and brakes, so any recommendation is appreciated.

Heeltoeauto is an awesome place for parts In fact, it is the only place I have ordered parts from. They actually have a "build your own brakes" sections, here is the link...

Don't cheap out on pads... get some Hawk Ceramics. Best Price I could find was about $190 for the set at Formula Import. I also picked up a pair of Montain Rotors (which are more expensive and made in Japan than Brembos) for a great price. I recommend! Car drives soooo much better than on stock crap.

Speedtech in Markham carries Hawks and Mountain rotors, I think. Email them!

Formula import also. He gave me a fantastic price cause he quoted me brembos but the supplier was out of stock so he gave me the mountains for the price of brembos.

With either rotor, make sure you paint em to prevent ugly rust.

No not clear coat. You need to use heat resistant paint. I used a blend of Dupli-Colour Caliper Paint and VHT rotor/caliper paint from Canadian Tire. I went with Black colour since thats what most rotors come with.
