The 1st 08 TSX

Hello Everyone, my name is Greg and I just recently purchased my first TSX and I'm totally stoked. I bought the car for the commute to a new job and was looking for something with decent gas millage and some pop. I think this car is the right choice and the aftermarket potential is endless. I hope to meet some of you enthusiasts and get some ideas. Thanks Greg

Awesome and welcome!

Basically I was in the same boat as you when deciding to purchase my next vehicle.

I've had my 08 TSX for 20 months now. I enjoy it more and more as time goes on.

Tried to find an 07/08 6 spd for a while, but I didn't have any luck.

In few years, I will be keeping an eye out for an 07/08 6spd.

Best cheap mod to start with, TL-S rear sway bar!

I have a co-worker that has a 06 TSX 6 speed manual with Nav and I'm a little jealous I have to admit, but I love my car and can't wait to start tweaking little things here and there. The TL swaybar makes a difference in handling? I take it's a little stiffer in the corners? Where is a good place to pick one up?

Thanks for the reply,
Greg

The main issue it solves is the understeer. Car is more neutral and balanced during cornering.

oemacuraparts is where I got mine. Ended up being the cheapest after shipping and tax.

acurapartsworld, acuraoemparts, acurabernardi ect.

Here is a nice guide/blog with the necessary part numbers/install guide.

Everyday Engineering: How-To: '08 TL Type-S Rear Swaybar on '04-'08 TSX

I purchased the RSB, 2x bushing holder/brackets, 2x bushings, and new hardware. My total came out to about $98 total.

Might want to replace your RSB end links while you are down there as well if needed. Mine were still fine, I did not replace them.

That's great information on the sway bar, the replacement upgrade i saw online started @ $150 and up. Thank for all the solid information and I'll be looking to get one the upcoming month.
