    yo inked, do you remember how much it was to powdercoat your old mugen shift knob? did you leave the circular mugen emblem or did you take it off before powdercoating?

    Yup, I installed it. My uncle passed by and said it was beautiful, haha.

    I was planning to get it powder coated flat black. So....I need to replace to things, VC gasket and SP seal?

    Yes I did. It's awesome. I got it when it's dark so I haven't mount it yet. Will be mounting it tomorrow.

    I guess you'll have to buy something then. Either the cheaper creative, or more expensive nuforce. :dunno:

    actually, I found a guide online that discusses optimizing windows xp sound settings

    Windows XP Audio Playback - Setup Guide - Benchmark

    Set "Sample rate conversion quality" to 'Best'
    If you apply the recommendations in this guide, you should be able to avoid sample-rate conversion. However, it is still a good idea to set this feature.
    To set this, open your "Sounds and Audio Devices" window from within the Control Panel, then continue as follows:

    "Audio" tab -> "Sound Playback" -> "Advanced" -> "Performance" -> "Audio Playback" ->

    "Sample rate conversion" -> 'best'

    Do some research on the product tottenham sent you and what I sent you. I'll mess around with the sound settings on an xp machine when I get to work on monday, if you can wait.

    Hmm interesting. I don't have a machine running xp with me so I can't fiddle with the settings. I'm sure there is a sound quality setting somewhere in xp though.

    check out what tottenham12712 posted for you. The USB creative sound adapter. Looks more affordable and still does the job. I think the NuForce stuff I sent you is kind of overkill.
