My Suggestion for the Personal Marketplace
In the Personal Marketplace section can you make it mandatory for sellers to post pictures UP on their thread rather than saying E-MAIL me for more pictures. It should be a rule and those who don't have pics up on the site cannot start up a thread. This way people won't ask "where's the pics" and it would be much more convenient for everybody. I mean its not that difficult to upload onto the thread and if their taking pics anyways for potential buyers, wouldn't it just make sense to post them up... Well that's all I've seen thats been bugging me so far.... I know that posting pics up is optional but in my opinion it is way better to require the sellers to post pics up.

I HATE it when seller doesn't post pic. I'd almost always do this if I see one -
but in all fairness even eBay does not have this rule and you can image all kind of shit going on there.

what if the seller doesnt have a camera?
besides it really only hurts the seller's chance of marketing the product if he/she doesnt have an image so i think it should remain optional. (it really deppends on the item) we all know what certain parts look like (after market rims, exhaust, intake etc.) but if its something with a questionable condition like maybe your stock seats or an engine even, THEN it should be mandatory to have pictures.
(you really wouldnt buy anything from a seller who isnt willing to post an image unless they have a good reputation) too shady in my opinion.

seems like you have a problem with some of sellers and not the forum system itself. I believe its something that should be left up to the discretion of the seller and the buyers cautiousness, this forum is merely a medium in which people have the choice to buy or sell their items. (in short, were not eBay, just a discussion forum)
besides if a picture is worth a thousand words, couldn't the seller compromise by depicting the item using a heffty essay?

guys read the classified rules, all sellers should have pics, but I usually post their threads without them because the pics usually come within a day or two anyway.

Theoretically, we do require pictures in classifieds, however, as BlueTSX05 stated, we are not strict on this particular rule, since it is a no brainer. If you don't trust the seller without seeing picture, don't buy it until you do so. The pictures benefit the seller more than the buyer. If the seller doesn't care about that, it shows how serious he is about the sale. On the other hand, there are occasions where the seller simply has no means to include the photos, or just doesn't know how to. This however should not prevent him from sharing his sale offer with the community. It just might be the exact deal someone is looking for, with or without pictures.
(BTW, sorry it took so long to respond)
