^ dom unit is $100 compare to this DIY only $10...........if u want everything thing stock, then dom + their pnp wire will be what you want, but that will over $200.........for me, i will just buy some wire and DIY, haha

no i have the dom unit already i bought it a while ago just never got to installing it. i just did this mod for the back up camera. now i cant decide if i should just install doms unit for the dvd or the other way

if u do not have DOM pnp wire, u have to cut some wires......if i were you, i will just follow Phisigbrotha's DIY and sell the DOM

dont know which dvd player im gonna use. nothing special though. more than likely its goin in the glove box so it needs to have a an extra IR eye to mount anywhere for the remote.

i want to see whether or not i should shop for a camera that has night vision

I hooked up the wire yesterday. Works great. I tested it with my dvd player from my house. Worked!! Now I have to decide which camera to buy.

at night my camera sucks, but it does its job if something or someone is within 10 feet of the bumper. night vision is definately a good feature to have. the backup lights only light up so much behind the car.

I really appreciate all your help and instructions. I will be doing this to my TSX and my Dad's TL very soon.

Who makes a quality camera for this DIY?

check ebay. plenty of cameras out there. just find the one you like. and my adapter is about a foot long. u can make it as long or as short as ud like.

that little cam is $229......and only 380TV lines.......
what is good is the wide angle, 150 degrees........but is it really possible to have 150 degrees wide angle??

u know anything different between CCD camera, CCD image sensor and super HAD CCD camera???
