well on the 07 TL's i looked at the unit is on the floor whereas the RL's is mounted to the rear deck like the TSX

it's still covered but TL and TSX DVD units seem to be different from the front, hence why i am investigating the RL possibilities b/c the RL and TSX do look alike from the front at least

This is the one im thinking about going with. It's pretty enticing.

http://cgi.ebay.com/PAC-VCI-LPC-Lice...QQcmdZViewItem

but this one says 150 degrees wide angle view, vs the cheaper ones 100 degrees. Any thoughts? or anyone else looking at different cameras? if either of these are pretty decent, im sure i could talk the seller into doing a group buy for us to get them cheaper.

if we can decide on a camera that pretty good, im sure sellers would be willing to group buy it.....anyone interested?

I like that SWM902. I should look into that more.

I'm hesitant to get the license plate cameras as they're very easy to steal. I want one that I'll have to bolt/mount onto the trunk.

Just click on the picture.

Pioneer also makes Universal Backup Cameras: Pioneer NDBC2 and NDBC1

They're less than $200 on eBay.

that camera looks good, but I really would hate to drill holes into my trunk. Maybe use the double sided tape, like they use for the lip spoiler.

You'll be running the risk of getting the camera stolen if someone recognizes its there.

I will be making my adapter tomorrow using phisig's DIY. After it is complete, and it works, I'll post up the part numbers for the needed electrical equipment.

I'll probably buy the Pioneer camera sometime next week as well.
