As "discussed" on your other thread, your results are a little higher than others with similar mods.

I have never heard of a Dynomite dyno, so I can't comment if they read a little higher like a Dynojet.
It's still possible that your engine just runs really well, but I would recommend another dyno at a different shop just to confirm.

Not trying to be negative, just logical.

It's like posting up a picture of a super model and telling everyone she's your girlfriend. It might be true but some people just won't believe you. Just enjoy what you have and don't worry about what other people say.

this is a n00b question, but with the dyno's that say that the results are measured at the flywheel, that would be different to whp? I would imagine that it doesnt take into account drive-train power loss?

Your assumption of differences between flywheel vs wheel horsepower is correct, however no chassis dyno actually measures at the flywheel despite what the dyno plot says.

The main difference of most output numbers would be between hp measured at the wheels on an inertia-load dyno (Dynojet) and hp measured at the hubs (Dynapack). In the case of at-the-hub measurements, the wheels are removed during the dyno process so rolling resistance is not accounted for in the power output.

thanks Dayta for the confirmation!

So you're saying that the dyno charts that have "flywheel ..." at the top of the graph, they are pretty much taking into account drivetrain loss, thus really measured the output at the wheels?

+1 rep (long overdue) - very knowledgeable regarding performance and great advice.

Really the only instance of output measured at the flywheel is on an engine dyno (i.e. if the engine is removed from the car and dynoed independently).

The majority of dynos available for use to the public are chassis dynos, so they all include drivetrain loss in their results. Again, "at the wheels" is a relative term since inertia load dynos (Dynojet) also incorporate variables such as the rolling resistance of your wheels. For example, running larger or heavier wheels with a higher degree of inertia would translate into more rolling resistance, and in turn affect your results on a Dynojet. In contrast, hydraulic load dynos (Dynapack) do not measure this variable because the dyno is mounted directly to the drive axles of your car.

In that sense, a Dynapack gives a more accurate representation of the power output of the engine itself whereas a Dynojet demonstrates how much of that power is actually making it to the ground.

...and thanks for the +rep .

Damn you better should be! lol

Those are great results, comparable to forced induction!
euro argh, whats your impression of the IPS cams?
I think i might just go with 06 intake cams, IPS literally costs an arm and a leg lol!!

Congratulations for the great result!

Its a grreat result for NA build , you picked up something like 90 hp, amazing ! Congrats !! You can beat any V6 now )) Hope to achieve something like 240 hp on my AT with nearly same setup.
