I’m having to replace my trans since the previous owner had a DC5 5 speed and I’m going to OEM 6 speed. I’m installing my shifter and cables but I can’t figure out how the ball at the bottom of the shifter is held into the cup on the cable. I’ve heard it’s a clip but I can’t find what it looks like. If anyone can help me or send pictures/ a link to the part it would be AMAZING!!
Try google searching “bardi short shift”. There’s a lot of forum posts on that install. I briefly looked around but didn’t see a picture with enough detail of the cable ends. It’s been about 7 years or so since I did mine but I still have the factory shifter with the nylon bearing still attached. Best I can remember is a metal sleeve that is shaped like the cable end (a D shape) and it snaps over the base of the metal shifter at the narrow part above the ball of the shifter
I hope you didn’t lose the clip that’s what holds them into place
