shandalo How many threads do you need for the same topic? I've been trying to help you since your first thread providing you with the info to make the engine you bought work... by far more info than I had when I actually did my own K24A swap. Nobody tried to take advantage of you... If it had 3 lobe cams under the valve cover is was the correct longblock.
Are you here to ask for our opinions and take them into consideration or just to find someone to validate your thoughts? It seems like you've made up your mind what you want to do. Either find your unicorn low mileage US 06-08 engine or rebuild yours.

The problem with that is that the motor has 220k miles on it and it needs a bottom end rebuild at that point (if not, less than 10k miles) and id rather do it all at once. Do you think id still be worth it then?

circuitsports Rebuild and repair, the head is a day job and to fix compression the block doesn't even come out.

New Engine (possibly?)

I have a beautiful 07 tsx 5-spd (dif tranny after my 6 blew up) with 225k mi. I am planning to restore and be a "like factory" (wNt to keep motor 100%stock for now) example. Im not sure how much ill be driving it but id like to keep it for as best a condition as possible for as long as possible. About a year ago i had compression loss in the motor, most likely an exhaust valve leak. I would like some opinions on what i should do. My opitions include:

-Rebuild/repair the motor (i enjoy this but it could be expensive and time consuming amd i wanna get this done asap)

- Buy a replacement motor for it (would be super easy drop in amd drive)

- buy a different k24a (not super interested in this because i really love the stock feel of the tsx but if you can make a good case id def consider it)

Any imput is really appreciated. If you do have a particular opinion for what i ahould do, please provide any steps to take. Ie. If you think i should rebuild it i would really appreciate a list of parts and procedures that should be done considering the milage, or if you think i should get a new motor, sugesting a reputable company or ways to identify that its 100% a genuine 06-08 tsx motor.

Thank you for any help, i really cant wait to be driving my tsx again[emoji108]
