What was your fastest lap in the silver TSX? Thought it was right around the 2:02-2:03 mark.

I do not envy you pulling out all the tan interior parts. Looks like a ton of work

Silver TSX fastest lap was 2:05.0 back in March of last year. This was before I installed the CL7 trans, before the rebuilt Ghostwerks trans you bought and before the reflash. Not much else has changed otherwise. The reflash and gearing helped big time!

Here are a few shots I purchased from Caliphotography of the car on track.

This Mustang passed me after the "Esses" just before the front straight but completely botched the exit. I had a good exit and nearly passed him again as we entered the front straight. I still need to dig through my GoPro footage to see if I got this one.

Rough draft likes this.

Nice! Think you can squeeze out a sub 2:00 lap as is or will that take more power and grip?

I'm going to need more power and less weight if I want to find 3 more seconds out there. I want to see where the RBC manifold, 45 pinned VTC gear and KTuner get me. Then do a clutch type LSD once the engine mods are set. Sub 2:00 is possible but it's going to need more $$$ unfortunately. I'm cheap af and do everything on a shoe-string-budget.

Yeah 5 seconds is a lot to cut off, but a shortcut without breaking the bank is more tire and more downforce(splitter/GT wing).

I would say to go with a 3 inch single exhaust - Post PLM header I am changing out to a 3 inch flex pipe - 3 inch spun cell cat - k teller tubing kit with a vibrant resonator, muffler and resonated tip - I'm trying to high temp coat the inside of the pipe as well. Also after living with no ps or ac for a month I would switch to an electric ps unit and roll the windows down, I am thinking about a vintage AC since my heater core is no beuno. Also the carbon fiber plugs for the sunroof seem like they might be available in the next month.

I would have added cams to the RBC gear, looks like you've already done the k20 oil pump but I would consider the Fluid dampener crank pulley.

This is actually the plan now that my Ktuner is on it's way.

I went back to Buttonwillow yesterday for the HFF Challenge season finale. Didn't make any changes to the car other than bleeding the brakes. I was able to eek out 3/10ths of a second to a best of 2:02.3. I took 2nd place for the event in the Modified class and placed 3rd overall for the season. I'll have pictures and video later.

For now, here's my video from last weekend.

Haha, thank you! Here's another angle I tried last weekend.

I might try and move the GoPro over all the way to the right so the mirror doesn't block the front view as much.

Great build thread. A lot of Information, already watched a couple of your videos, great to see another Track TSX out there. How far are you from Gingerman Raceway? I should be going there later in the year.

Thank you! Gingerman is a fun track but it's a solid 3 day drive from me.

passenger side window https://www.filmtools.com/joby-sucti...4aAmQgEALw_wcB

I squeeze my phone under the passenger head rest and that works well too, not for your tracks seats tho.

For like 1/6th the price you're closing in on the fastest street car times....dang

Thanks, I'll give that a try!

I somehow got locked out of my Flickr account so I created this Imgur account that has more of my recent TSXphotos.

If anyone wants to see my E46 M3 progress, I started a new Flickr account here.
