Sup TSXClub,

Since there have been a couple of people fitting in Genesis Brembo Calipers w/ 14-17 Nissan Rogue 3rd Row Rotors on our 1st Gen TSX, I thought id give it a try since it doesn't require any brackets to install.

I am no expert when it comes to Hub center bores and Hub rings, but since our 04-08 TSX Center bore is 64.1mm and the 14-17 Nissan Rogue Rotor Center bore is 68.1mm (I believe), are there any Hub Rings that are specifically made for Hub to Rotor to center it? I know I needed it for my Enkei Nt03s or any aftermarket wheels but I have never heard of a Hub Ring being fitted for the Hub to Rotor.

Now for the next question. Since my Enkei Nt03s 9.5" +40 has a Hub of 72.62mm do I have to buy new Hub Rings to be fitted from the Nissan Rogues center bore or do I still use the same one provided to me when I installed the rims to my TSX? Or am I out to lunch and overthinking everything LOL!

Im pretty sure I will need some spacers to clear this BBK, probably 5-10mm, do I buy spacers with a Hub Rings Centers on it? Can I use my aftermarket Wheel Lug Nuts previously used or do I have to buy a new set of Open Ended Lug Nuts?
Im planning to do this all in my garage and would like to have everything so I can tackle it all in one go. Thanks in advance for your input!

The thing I'd be most worried about is whether or not the rotor is lug centric. Meaning the lug sizes are the same diameter as the TSX. With the RL calipers the brembo equipped 350z rotors are not lug centric and need the ring to keep them centered on the wheel studs.

I've been looking into this swap awhile now too - hoping someone can chime in with more info.

Definitely try to get hub centric wheel spacers. I personally wouldn't run more than 5mm spacers without going with extended wheel studs. Some people will tell you 10mm is fine, I'm not one of them.

The genesis calipers are quite large though right? You might need more than 10mm. Although I haven't seen it all bolted up to verify. Lugs will depend if you go with extended wheel studs or not.
Thanks for the reply TSXXXX, apparently Fastbrakes supplies a shim to center the rotor into the hub, I will have to contact them for that info.
Oh i guess i missed the first part of the question regarding the open ended lug nuts, if I extended the wheel studs in the front would i still be able to use the aftermarket lug nuts on my tsx right now or do i have to purchase a open ended lug?

Has there been any progress with this set up, Looking for options for my tax. thanks
Yes! *UPDATE*

Everything installed perfectly, trimmed the dust shield. Bought Fast brakes ring kit to center the rotors perfectly, apparently some people have installed this bbk without it but i wanted to do it right the first time. Installed SS Stainless Brake Lines Front & Rear. The Pedal feel is close/better to stock not mushy like from what I heard with the RL BBK setup.

I took it to the mountains the week I installed it, 7 hours driving probably 4 hours of hard driving and braking around twisties, and the difference is insane! Stock Rotors i would have felt vibration from the hard braking, but this took it the whole day without issues.
Even till now there are no vibrations while braking. As for braking distance, i wouldn't know but i got to test it out when a deer jumped out in front of me and lets just say my car is still in one piece.

As for my Tire & Rim Set up fit. 18x9.5 +40 Enkei Nt03+M with 225/40/18. I had to install 1" Spacers which kind of sucks but with the Skunk2 UCA it doesnt look bad at all, semi-mexi flush look.
Not my favorite but been looking to install a widebody kit, so it might just work out since I will also be looking to raise my car a bit more and have track tire setup

Let's see some pics of it all together. It may be worth looking into a 20mm or even 15mm spacer if that's enough to clear the calipers.
Yeah i tried to make it as small as I can. but even with the 1" Spacer its already really tight on the spokes, i cant imagine going to 20mm.

Oh if i recall you posted this in one of the FB TSX groups - I wanna say I replied. Weren't you asking about smaller spacers on there?

What about finding a pair of +27 NT-03's for the front? Not sure if they'd fit as is, but youd definitely get away with a smaller spacer with +27's
Yeah i posted on one of the fb groups but didnt get a concrete answer since its a fairly new setup and was only recommended rims that were "BBK friendly".
Not an expert on rims offsets and what not but im sure changing the offsets wont affect anything. The problem with these rims and BBK setup is that the spokes of the Nt03s is what comes really close in contact.
Changing the offset would just move the rim width further in or out for the hub center. This case +27 rim would actually stick out more with the spacer since it'll push the rim out more add about 13mm to the lip.
That is how i understand it, im probably really wrong lol

If I am wrong and I hope I am. Then removing half an inch from the Overhang would make this look way more aesthetically pleasing

That's backwards. The lips on +40 and +27 are the same. Some wheels compensate for offset via the lip size but the VAST majority of wheels compensate for their offsets on the hub. So a +27 would get you 13mm more clearance.
Oh really?! So +27 has more of a flatter (concave) hub look then ,if im understanding correctly. I always thought that it looked like it had a bigger lip on it.
Where would you find that in the Rims info sheet weather its the lip size or hub that they use for offset, just for future reference.

Luckily there is a nt03 +27 around my area that i can probably test fit

I picked up a set of calipers. Now to have the rebuilt and powder coated.
what did you use for the rear brakes? accord hybrid bracket ?
I have stock rear brakes, not sure if i should get the available bracket to fit a bigger rotor Its just not on the top of my list since its not increasing caliper size so it wont be very effective

I understand that it will fit. But might you can share the direct part numbers of the rotor and few photos of how it was installed, and how you trimmed your dust shield. Remove the wheel and make several photos ;) this thread needs more photos man ;)))
Sorry man this thread wasnt meant to be a DIY, didnt take much photos at all since it was direct bolt-on, if you can take out your caliper and rotor you should be able to bolt the new setup the same way. There are threads here and Facebook TSX Groups that outline exactly what is needed

Im having this problem as well. I looked into the Fast Wheels Dimes which are pretty similar to the Avids that you posted, but haven't had a clear response. All i know since Mitsubishi Evo 8/9 BBS and Evo X GSR wheels fit the Genesis Brembos without a spacer on our TSX, is to look for wheels that fit those cars. I am running Nt03s 9.5 +40 and I have to run a 1" spacer in the front which is really killing my tires really fast.

So you’re saying that stock Evo wheels work with this brake setup on our cars?

Also, are the wheels you mentioned above the ones in the pic from previous post? Either way, I have a question for you. I’m curious to know how much horizontal clearance you have between the spokes of your wheel and the caliper. Maybe with that info I can get an idea of wheel spacing and get a perfect fitting wheel the first time.

I’m going to make a complete build thread with details like these included when I finally finish/get close to finished with this brake upgrade.
Yeah Evo wheels work a couple guys on the TSXClub group on Facebook have run them, and they look pretty good on our cars. Im not too sure of the distance i can probably check it out once i do some maintenance on it
