Issue 1 :
First off, I will have video soon. Forgot about it, but I was to get some insight in the mean time.

The sound is coming from the top end, or to the best that I can tell. You can only really hear it once the engine warms up.

At first I thought it was the valve lash needing to be adjusted. Had that done today and didn't go away.

The mechanic that did the adjustment said it was probably just the injectors pinging when they inject fuel. Not sure.

Either way, there seems to be a shaking that is accompanied by the sound. Nothing violent, but enough that I can notice. The other Honda's that I've owned never shook like this one.

Anyone else have experience with this?

Issue 2 :
Basically, when stopped and going into first, when I pump the clutch a few times the shifter slides in like a warm knife through butter. If I pull the shifter out and put it back into gear a few times it gets progressively tighter and more difficult to put into gear. Almost like it's catching. It's not so bad that it won't go into gear, just irritating. Any ideas to fix it?

Again, video coming.
Thanks in advance.

Issue 2: Sounds like a bad clutch master cylinder. Try bleeding your clutch, and if that doesn't help, consider replacing the clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder (use OEM parts).

The shaking could be clutch drag, by the way..

I'll have to give that a shot.

The shaking of the engine? It's usually only at idle.
After the video on issue 1, we will know more :)
Id start with replacing the slave and bleeding first, that is more common to go out.\
Id also recommend putting on a stainless clutch line, its easy and the clutch feels better. What is the mileage on the car?

Right now 114k.

Still working on the video. Keep forgetting. I should have plenty of time tomorrow to get one up. The little one will be away with the grand parents for the day.

Any thoughts on brand?

Seeing as how I work for O'Reilly's I can pick this up probably 10-15 bucks.

As far as the line to the slave, where could I find the stainless line?

+1 for working at O'Reilly and being named Jared as I am Jered from 3679 in Aurora CO and have the same damn issue on my 04! Lol. I have the creaky clicky clutch pedal issue. It clicks about 3-5 times when you push the pedal down. I've heard this is a fairly common problem caused by a shit master cylinder, can anyone verify this? It's a love-hate relationship between me and my TSX
Also have you checked that your plugs and coils are ok? Misfires on 4 cylinders are very rough. Also motor mounts? are they good? Put the car in gear and put the ebrake down and with the hood open, rock the car back and forth, if you have excess movement, your motor mounts could be bad. I just replaced all of mine with Anchors (and a BA front hydraulic) off of RockAuto for much less than my Oreilly employee discount. With my ETD @10mm there is literally ZERO movement. With the ETD off, maybe 10-20mm total motion pushing hard, as opposed to 1-2 inches. My passenger side mount was completely broken in half as was the top tranny mount. Do you have any CELs?
I havent had time to check the motor mounts as its not a one man job. Ill have to see if a buddy can help sometime soon.

No CEL.

Ill try and get the video off my phone and uploaded soon.

Also. I know where you live now, Jered. Counter number : 92674. Yeah. Its a slow day at my store. Lol.

Also. Why does 3679 not have an ISS? Weird.
