I’m looking to change out my center console stack that only has the radio and CD changer with one that has the navigation system in it. Will the swap work out or will I have to install other equipment to make this functional.

It's going to cost way more than you want to spend. Also the navi isn't the greatest...old and outdated. You should look into Android auto setups. Some folks have done that in our gen but it does require some work. The wiring harnesses and so forth isn't worth the trouble and that's me being honest with a stranger.

I'm going to get this OEM center stack with Navi for 50 bucks. Hopefully the investment will payoff a bit when I part ways with it :) Not really interested in getting any Android set up pr upgrade but making this as close to stock as possible. I'm the 2nd owner and my brother was the first who absolutely babied the car like me. I've replaced the center stack before with a working one from an 08' so I was hoping to do the same with this Navi that I'm looking to buy. Will it be as simple as a swap, plug in, reinstall and use?

It is my understanding that the Navi requires a remote CD drive for the navigation database. Is the CD drive included in your $50 stack? Also, I understand the navigation database CDs are difficult to find and cannot be updated; the databases are outdated and now inaccurate. Are you sure you want to do this?

You will need more than the DVD Drive and Screen , you will need the entire harness which is 2 parts , you will need the GPS antenna , the mounting brackets , the clock spring for the phone controls , most importantly you will have to disassemble the entire interior of the car to install it all. When people say its not worth doing it they really mean it.

It does include a CD drive. I would think that the CDs out of date too, but I'd just like to put it in for fun. I'd still keep the old stack if things didn't work out just in case.
