Hey guys, I'm looking to get the hondata reflash on my 04 Tsx , but I really don't want to send my ecu out and wait for it to come back. Anyone aware of a shop in new England that can reflash in house ?

There is lots of info on the Hondata website including their dealer listing. :)

I'm pretty sure only hondata in torrance cali can perform the ecu reflash. Hondata dealers only act as the middleman to collect payment and relay information between you and hondata.

^^^ LOL, I was hoping he would read the entire Hondata website to figure that out too!!

Or to figure out that he needs to swap in a 2007-08 ECU. :)

Church can do it "in-house" because they are within driving distance of Hondata (they drive your car to Hondata, instead of taking out the parts and bringing them over). I think there are others too, but if you are on the East coast, no such luck.

I am swapping over to Flashpro the 20th of this month. My already reflashed 04 spd ecu will be up for grabs. Im me if you are serious.

Since you are local we can meet up.
Did You Really Feel A Differents??? I Just Became A Pround Owner Of A 04 6 Speed. And I Would Like To Know If It's Worth Me Getting It Reflashed.

You could make a trip to LA and drop it off at Church Auto for a few reasons.

1. It reduces the number of days your car is out of commission.
2. You are in LA, so you do not need your car to be in commission
3. Drop off your chip, key and immobilizer at Church Auto and you will get it back the next day. Just call them in advance to give them a head's up.
4. It gives you one (or one more) reason to visit LA.
5. I did it.

Just my two cents, and it is a great mod for the car. In all honesty, this one is a no-brainer.

Hey I have an 04 manual, will I be able to just pop in your new flashed ECu without having to do anything to the imobilizer?
The days of simply swapping ECU's is long gone. If you just "pop" in the new ECU, your car will not run.

To swap TSX ECU's, the VIN number needs to be re-entered into the new ECU plus the RFID/Chip keys will need to be re-synced.
Both which need a dealer tech to do.

For example, drive your car to the dealer. Swap ECU's in the dealer parking lot. Have the dealer tech do his thing. Drive home.

Don't buy a used 2004-06 ECU at any price. Buy a 2007-08 TSX ECU which opens up several ECU flashing and customizing options.

Read the Hondata website top to bottom.
^^^ I find myself saying this alot. I should make it a line in my signature!! :)

2. Unless Church moved, there's not much to do around the shop. You'd probably have to have a $10 cab ride to reach a place where you can relax and look around all day.

There's lots of hondata reflash review threads floating around and are generally very positive. IMO, it is one of my best bang for the buck upgrades I have done as it's very noticeable.
