05 TSX could it just be her battery?

So driving on the HWY today & my radio started to cut out. I noticed that the indicator light for the Airbags would come on @ the sametime the radio would cut out. Then it would go out & radio would return. However the ABS,VSA & parking brake indicators began to light up all at the same time. The radio kept cutting out & then the A/C shut off too!! Got her home & when i shut her off she would not turn over at all. Like hardly even a flicker.
I'm praying its just the battery but why wouldn't the battery charge indicator have come in that case? Could it be the alternator instead? Either way I NEED HELP h1e1l1p

If your having problems with current while the car is driving, chances are the alternator is probably bad as well. Charge it up and get to a local parts store where they can hook it up and see what the electrical system is doing.

Checked her battery charge & she was dead. Changed out the Batt & she started like a dream. Rechecked Batt pwr with a few accessories on & she started to drop chrg slowly but steadily.:squint: So check charge @ the alternator & saw no charge coming from it. It's the alternator. Just still confused by the odd collection of indicator lights & I never noticed the battery charge light coming on once??/ Oh well tomorrow starts the hunt for a fresh alt.
The problem w current issues is they can cause a large amount of incorrect warnings thus all the lights. The problem with the battery indicator is it also runs on current lol so it too can have a fault when something screwy is happening.

As I posted in another thread, don't buy a new alternator- get it rewound.
They can improve the voltage output and with an upgraded stator improve the charging over stock.

It should be cheaper too.

A quick Google shows there are a few to choose from in your city.

I would also take the opportunity to check the main grounds for continuity. The main one being the ground from the negative battery terminal to the chassis (Inner fender-well)

Thnx for all this boys, much appreciated fellas. I've one on the way & got it for smooth 150. Srry to hear this is also happening to others but I do find an odd comfort from it too. lol at least I'm not alone in experiencing the feeling when lights start flashing in our ladies & our hearts come up in our throats, even when it turns out to be minor. Great help thanks again
