Hey guys, I have a 2004 TSX with navigation and premium sound. The 6 disk changer died a long time ago and I've just been using a USA spec aux/ipod adapter to play music which is fine. However, all the HVAC and center console lights have gone out and the buttons are becoming finicky.

I'm wondering if it would be possible to pick up a used radio / headunit from an 06 + and swap it into my 04. Would it fit and function properly? I've heard the hazards are different, along with the additional Bluetooth module. Could I add the Bluetooth module (like thisAcura TSX Bluetooth HFL Module Hands Free 39770 Sec A010 M1 2004 2008 | eBay) and make it work?

If not I could just get something like the GROM or USA Spec for BT no big deal. I'm just wondering if the newer headunit will work properly as I'd be hesitant to buy another 04 as they have the issues with the lights going out and all that (this is the 2nd time I'm dealing with it). Not to mention it would be nice to have a functioning CD changer again.

Thanks.

I am interested in the results/findings. Good luck!
Thanks man. I'm hoping someone else has experience with this and can chime in. If not i might go ahead and do it anyway, but it'll be some time from now. I just got replacement front shocks for my coilovers as they're blown and need a driver's side axle (just replaced the passenger) first.
