Just put 60k jdm k24a and a new clutch in the car and when I put the car in reverse and go to take off the car will stall immediately, tried increasing rpms while trying to take off in reverse but same thing, starting off in first works fine just not reverse, triple checked every sensor, no cel codes, trans fluid is good, thinking maybe iacv not working properly? What do you all think?

I think you have a mechanical problem.
The engine doesn't know which gear the transmission is in so I don't think it's an engine issue.

Jack up all 4 tires off the ground, start up the engine and run the trans thru the gears including reverse.

Can you turn both front wheels by hand forward and reverse while the manual trans is in neutral? With the engine stopped and the engine running?
While the trans is in 1st? While the trans is in reverse?

I think you have something incorrectly assembled.
Was the transmission removed with the engine?

I wonder if the transmission shift linkage is the problem? Is the transmission really in reverse?
I recommend to double check the transmission linkage.

When spinning the tires while motor is off everything is fine, no noises, tire spins smooth, while the motor is on the passenger side spins fine but as soon as I turn the driver side wheel in the reverse rotation the motor dies, no noises or anything it just dies

Yes the trans was removed with the motor, checked linkage everything looks fine, I took pictures of everything before removing it and the picture matches what it looks like now and when I put the car in reverse and go to start it it will spin the tires backwards but the motor dies, no noises coming from the trans besides the whine they make while in reverse so yeah its in reverse

Still no CEL? Are you still scanning for DTC's?

Are the VSA or ABS lights on?
It's normal for them to be on while running the car thru the gears with all 4 tires off the ground, but they should go off as soon as the wheels stop turning.

I'm running out of the ideas, we may be missing something simple.

Can you take a video of the car stalling while in reverse?

Well I hooked the obd scanner up and was watching live data while going through gears with the wheels off the ground and ended up seeing that the vss wasn't reading right, pulled it out and the end was almost completely knocked off, parts store will have one in for me tomorrow afternoon, going to shim it with a washer to try and prevent it from happening again, after I put it in I'll let you know if that fixes it, hope it works
