hello. im new to the club. my question is i recently bought 19 inch rims for my 09 tsx and im not sure what size of tire im going to use. im not planning to lowered my car. the size of the rims are 19x8.5 +40 offset. should i get 235/35 or 225/35?

i dont want it to rub, but if its impossible which tire is appropriate. thanks!

I second the 235's for a 8.5 rim.

I have 245/40/19 on my 19x8 RDX wheels. I think that 235s looks too stretched. Stretched tires are dumb, they look ugly and don't work as well as a tire that isn't stretched.

245/35 19" on HFP wheels here... about 2.5" drop in front on TEIN SS Coilovers. WOrks great--- fourth month... Extremely aggressive driving- no rubbing.

I also have 19 inch RDX wheels and the 245/40/19 work nice if you're not planning on dropping, they give you a more comfortable ride than the 35 and it covers the gap better for a better look.

Whoa that's a big tire. Go with a 235 on 8.5" rim, it won't ne huge but normal looking... 35 series is about normal for that ratio compaired to stock... The tl type s has a 235/45/17 tire
