I've been scouring this section for similar setups, but I havent been able to find anyone running a 235/40 tire on an 18x8 +35 rim.

Im not big into stretching tires, and want some meat on the wheels, especially since my car is a daily driver.
Is anyone rocking this setup currently? I'm thinking I may be able to run 235 tire with a little fender tug in the front and minor work in the rear.

Wheel guru's I would appreciate your input, Thanks! :)

I pulled up your vehicle in our fitment guide and it looks like an 18x8 with a +35mm offset will stick out beyond your fenders by about 1/2". (not counting the tire).

The tire size you are considering is a good size but it may be better on a narrower wheel with a higher offset if you want to keep everything flush or tucked within your fenders. (7.5" with 40-45mm offset would be ideal)

Thanks for the reply, I failed to mention I am dropped and I'm running -1.1 degrees of camber in the front and about -1.8 in the rear. (about 1/2'' gap in front running 215/50 on 17x7+45 wheels. Poking out in the front seems a bit off, since many other members are running a bit more width with +35 offset without too much of a 'poke' issue.

I searched the wheel fitment thread and I see many others running 18x8.5+35 but with a smaller tire (215 or 225)..

The poke would be based off stock suspension and OE spec alignment.

I haven't test fit a set up like this so I have to go with what our guide tells us. If you have a local Discount Tire or America's Tire near you, call them up and tell them what you are trying to do. They may be able to help you with a test fit.

I'm running 235/40/18 on 18x8+40 and am flush at both ends, the front probably sticks out a few mm, the rears are just inside the fender. I'm -1.1/-1.6 on camber on the rear. I posted photos of my setup in an earlier thread - just browse down the page a bit.

Thanks for the reply. Are you dropped on aftermarket suspension?

Im far from stock height, and Ive heard all sorts of more aggressive wheel setups being run.. I saw one member rocking 235/40's with a 18x8.5 +45 rim and it looks proper. I figured a 18x8 +35 would be close to that. I wouldnt be opposed to running a 225 tire.. but the rims I want come in 18x8 +35 and would really like to make them work.

For reference here is my current ride height with 17x7 +45 and 215/50 tires

Bump,
I see alot of folks running 18x9 +35 rims with rolled fenders. One member is running 18x9 +35 with a 225/40 tire. This would make me believe an 18x8+35 with a 225/40 tire should be the similar clearance wise.. right?

im runnin 18x8 +37 paired w/ 225/40s & just as low as you are. had to roll the rear fenders & bend the tabs in the front. heres a wheel offset calculator that can help you Wheel Offset Calculator
Which tire are you running? I believe the brand of tire is going to make a huge difference in clearance for offset/width I want to run.

Bro did you get your setup yet? I'm also debating between 18x8" and either 35 or 45mm offset. I want to get as close to the lip as I can without having to roll etc. I'll be dropped on TEIN HTECHS so not too aggressive there. Post some pics!!!
