auto tranny

Hey dude. The car was sitting for awhile before I bought it. So not sure if it has ever had a tranny flush. Burrard Acura inspected before I bought it and said it was all good. But they just probably checked the fluid for leaks and stuff like that. Would Acura be the best place to get it done? Also could it be a more serious problem? Like the tranny is starting to go? I sure hope not. Thanks.

I was expirencing the same issue as you. First to second had a really bad delay and it was driving me crazy. Upon further investigation I found that my ground from the transmission to the chassis was really corroded. I decided to upgrade to 4 gauge wiring from the transmission to the chassis . I also made a ground cable from the engine to the transmission. The car shifts so much smoother now!! I would still check your transmission fluid and make sure its good. Let me know if you need pictures of the ground points.

Acura changed the tranny fluid last saturday it defianetly needed to be done they said. The shifting is a bit better but i think it could still be better. Now for my next question car makes a kinda like rattling sound once it idels down in drive and reverse. But if i drive away sound goes away. Acura said it was a dust shield was rattling but the sound is back again. ANy ideas?

I had my TSX since 2004 and I was lazy enough to only have done the tranny fluid change once all these years. It was done 3 years ago and I had no problem.
