I'm planning to put my 2004 TSX up on a lift and derust as much of the undercarriage as I can with reasonable effort. Wire brush, sand paper, rust remover chemicals, part replacement (where cheap enough), paint, etc. Doing some up front research to gather materials and parts ahead of time and to decide which approach for each item.

I found this black box with a bracket holding it in next to the upstream O2 sensor and am struggling to find any parts diagram or identify what it is. Anyone familiar with this? If you've got a parts diagram all the better.

I believe that is a subframe damper, also known as-

Front sub-frame Dynamic (rear) damper, part# 50420-SEA-E01

Search for a subframe diagram and you'll find it.

Our 2006 manual trans TSX does not have that vibration damper.

Perhaps it's for auto trans TSX only?
