Hi all,

Just wondering what changes (aside from lighted steering controls and power adjust pass seat) are different from the 04 to 05 models? Has anyone with an 05 had any of the reliability issues discussed in the 04 models (e.g., seat moves, electrical gremlins, prematurely wearing seats and clutch). In know the TSX is a pretty reliable car but I want to know what small issues there are. Thanks in advance.

i have an 05, i believe the other differences are:

XM is available on 05
the keyless entry "beeps" when you double press it, the 04 honks

other than that just what you mentioned. i only have 1400 miles on it so i cant speak on the reliability issues, other than to say the car feels great to drive and is everything i can ask for.
not only does it have xm and beeping alarm, however i compared my car to my cousins and it has a few extras, for example: heated exterior mirrors, dual power seats, and a little bit of navigational lingo added.

As far as reliability, I've noticed the following on my '05. The clutch chattered a bit off of the lot but seems to have settled down now. The moonroof has plenty of creaking in the cold but has been fixed with some silicon grease on the rubber. There is creaking from behind the rear seat which I've heard is due to a spot weld but I haven't heard of any fixes yet except a dealer who "massaged the metal", whatever the hell that means.

I'll let it go for a few weeks. The car only has 590 miles on it so, I'll just wait to see what happens. Thanks for the support. Maybe I will try turning the VSA off once in a while. Kinda risky here in WI :nono:
