hi guys, i just made my account, just bought the TSX 2 days ago.
so i was testing the audio system, "Acura premium audio" is not very premium.

so im going to upgrade the system. im aiming for around ($1,000-1,500) and i was hoping you guys could help me out, i want to keep the head unit if possible, i want it to look as stock as possible. i was looking at the Boston Acoustics SPZ60
i have always been a fan of Boston Acoustics, i have a 14 year old desktop system and theyre better than my $300 Bose system,
but anyways i would like a subwoofer that will hit hard as hell possible 2, and if possibly add a center channel on the dash, so could you guys that have some knowledge help me pick out a system?? thanks for the help! :)

Rosser,
Welcome to the forum... I just upgraded my stereo in my 06 acura tsx non-nav last year and it made a fantastic difference... For keeping the stock headunit, as you're also looking to do, I bought this PAC AOEM-HON20 harness with great success. Its plug and play, no wire cutting, and you retain all steering wheel controls, bluetooth etc. It gives you two sets of preamp outputs. I bought a zapco DC360.4 and DC1100.1 with the Zapco DRC-sl controller powering a set of Focal KRX2's actively up front. For the sub, there are many options out there... I, currently running a single TC Sounds epic 12 which is a nice punchy SQL sub. Im waiting on my preorder for a pair of Stereo Integrity Magv3's which should be here end of this month hopefully. I am very happy with the box I found as well, I purchased the custom fit dual 12" enclosure from Concept Enclosures through ebay. Here is the Link to that. I ran all KnuKonceptz 0gauge Kolossus Fleks Kable from a XS Power d5100r battery to a distro block on my DIY rear deck shelf to my amps. I asked Concept Enclosures to lower the height of the box they made for me to accommodate room for my shelf. The enlcosure fits wonderfully and they can cut custom size holes for you upon request.

(Hope im not breaking any forum rules in this post btw? If I am please let me know and I'll correct any needed changes.)

Anyways, Let me know if you have any questions, maybe I can help? Otherwise hopefully some other guys will chime in here too. Good luck with your build!

for subs I would recommend digital designs (DD Audio | True to the Source). Depending on where you are located they might be hard to locate a dealer, but they are awesome subs. They basically used to make the subs for just about anyone in the US, including kicker back when they were actually good. I had a set of their 6.5 subs that sounded like 10s and a 10 incher that people always thought was a 12 or 15. They also do custom colors if you order from them and custom suspensions if you need a sub to hit in a smaller amount of volume. They also make some pretty kick ass and affordable amps.
