I was driving the other day and I heard a rattling noise then I noticed that the long plastic trim piece on the exterior driver's side next to the windshield, had come loose and was rattling in the wind. I don't know much about cars but I looked it up and I believe this piece is called the A-pillar (can someone confirm if this is correct please?)

Does anyone know if this is something I can just easily replace on my own if I get the replacement part or do I need to go to a shop to get them to do it?

get some silicone use a dab that way you cant easily replace it later...get a small bottle in clear at lowes

I believe there are 3-4 clips that hold it in.
I have the same issue.
I think the clips may have a adhesive on them to stick to the body. The adhesive drys out and the molding comes loose. If you lift the molding I think you will see what I am talking about
I haven’t investigated that yet . Front Shocks to be replaced first.

There is a repair TSB on the Acura sight that addresses this issue and how it needs to be repaired.
