Found a wicked good deal on practically new Conti ExtremeContact DWS... but the size can be pushing it on the 7.5" GP's. Can any tire experts chime in? I'm currently on stock height btw

I wouldn't go passed 235/40/18 on a 7.5 width wheel. If you look on tirerack it'll tell you the min and max wheel width for each tire size. 225/40/18 is what I'd recommend.

Thanks for the reply tekneek! I'm on a tight budget right now and a local seller is having these tires for cheap with only one winter use. I was wondering if there should be any safety concerns if these tires do go over my rims and if there will be a huge hit on my fuel economy. Thanks in advance for any advice guys!

I ran 225/45s on 7.5" wheel and it fit just fine -- perfect fit, actually.

245/40s.. I personally wouldn't do it, but I'm sure there are people out there that have.

I'd have to agree. No larger than 235/40 on this wheel size. You're beyond stock diameter anyway.
225/40 on a 7.5 Anything wider than that wouldn't look right anyways.
Not true. 235/40 on mine looks perfect imo. Nice flush sidewall.
