1st up, read the Hondata website from top to bottom, including the Tech section and the Hondata forum TSX section.

If you have an auto trans TSX, just save your money on any ECU mods. It's not worth it.

If you have a 2004-06 manual trans TSX, I would recommend the Little Bo reflash.
Cheaper and easier, no shipping. But he is hard to get a hold of.
I don't recommend the Hondata ECU reflash for any TSX and our 2006 manual trans TSX has it for about 10 years now.

If you have a 2007-08 manual trans, I would recommend the Hondata FlashPro.

question im asking is
do i have to purchase the flashpro then i'll be able to reflash
or
i can just get my ecu reflashed and call it a day?
FlashPro wouldn't exist if you could just flash the ECU.

That still begs the question: where did you get $295 from? Is that what a local tuner charged you?

It appears you have an '04 auto. Just save your money.

The rest of the story... :)
With those planned mods, the Hondata Reflash is not for you.
Hondata FlashPro is the way to go, despite the auto trans.

2007-08 auto trans TSX ECU's are cheap and easy to find in autowreckers, unlike a manual trans 2007-08 TSX ECU.
A Hondata FlashPro programmer is pricey but worth it and will hold it's value.

As I mentioned above, all your questions are answered on the Hondata website.
You are going to have to sit down and read thru it to learn how it all works.

Sounds like you’re referring to FlashPro, not Reflash. Two different things. Hondata FlashPro is worth it; Hondata Reflash is not.

I’d be skeptical of a 30hp gain with an intake and exhaust. Even 20 sounds optimistic. After all this, you might be putting down 190-200whp.

I’ve seen others with I/H/E with the REFLASH not flashpro making over 235hp. go to hondata’s website and go to the 2004-2006 reflash for the tsx. it’s only $295 while flashpro is $750 + 07-08 ecu which will run you back at least $400. if you have an automatic tsx, i’m telling you right now the REFLASH is 100% worth it. and how are you gonna say that after the reflash i’m gonna make less horsepower? what makes you think that?

Because I’m referring to whp, not crank hp. TSX’s make in the area of 160-170whp from factory. Maybe a bit more, but give or take that much. Adding I/H/E would get you to maybe 210whp.

The automatics, even with that power, aren’t geared to go terribly quickly. It’s not like adding 40hp to a manual.

I will admit it’s a better option than I initially thought, though.

Serge is complete A$$
He is just into business of selling his flash and talking big B.S. about how good his flash is and that you can just throw mods (header +cai+no cat) on top of his flash.

You do that and you end up with afr of 14 from 5500- 6500rpm. and he is running it on 25.5 ign advance... It is just mental + he is telling people to run their cars on regular 95oct (euro) fuel🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️.
My sparkplugs got damaged from it... cough it on time to prevented any damage to the engine and was driving on 100 cot (euro) fuel so compression is good. Still need to do leak down and endoscopy to be 100% sure that everything is fine.

He is also using e030 soft on e050 ecu for facelift cl9 🤦‍♂️ ... Worst flash that you can get for a cl9 / tsx.

Right way is to get the parts on and go to local tuner to make a custom tune.

as for gains you have them down in this order:
Stock cl9 190hp
Flashed cl9 serge bo 198hp
Flashed+serge header+no cat. 213hp
That is 23hp top gain and you still have safe afr.
With intake on you get to final +37hp but afr is 14

Hope no one buys anything from him.

I have a 2007 auto US TSX , stock. Will be installing a test pipe(cat delete) while keeping the rest factory( headers and the rest of the exhaust system). Would I need to reflash or tune the ECU in order for the car to work properly? I am about to see if the CEL will come on, but will order one of these o2 extensions that have worked for me on previous Hondas.
