I was just going to switch out clutch hoses and I noticed this:

It looks like the rubber seal on my release fork is broken open!! Does anyone know the repercussions of something like this?
Not sure exactly what this is sealing in. Should I throw some grease into there? I imagine its dried out in there :/

If you are talking about the seal where the slave cylinder presses the fork, it is normally not sealed tight but, not ripped open. Hope this helps. J~

It does nothing other than help keep water out/clutch dust in. Just remove your slave cylinder and replace the boot.

Part #6 in diagram.

Yup that's just the clutch fork's boot. You're going to have to remove the clutch slave cylinder like adamlee05 says and slide the new boot on.
