Hey, I tried to search the forums but i couldnt even get any posts to show up about this topic at all. I was wondering if anyone has put in 2 8" subs where the 6x9's are on the rear deck? If so, how was it. Also if i do put in 2 8's, would there be enough power from the stock amp to power them? If not, would it be a better idea to just replace the stock 6x9's with a nicer pair? I aprreciate the help!

all depends on what you want. upgraded bass? or subwoofer bass? also, i think it would be a waste to try to put 8s in the 6x9s location... free air i dont think is a great way to do 8s. and youd have to get a new amp to power them most probably. if you want cleaner bass, upgrade the 6x9s. if you want a lot more bass then what youve got, get subs... i have 2 8s and they sound phenomenal

alright, ill probally end up upgrading all my speakers first and if it still isnt enough for my liking i can always add some subs in there. Just one more question, when switching out the door speakers, will i need to put spacers between the speakers and the door, or is there ussually enough room for the speakers to fit?

depends on which speakers your putting in. i had to use a spacer, i think, with mine (professional installation, but i tried and had to give it to a pro because of the depth and width). i know theres speakers that fit, but i dont know which ones do without modification.

Right now im looking to replace my 4 door speakers and the rear 6x9's with either Polk DB series which would be $350 total, Infinity Kappa series for $400, or Pioneer REV series for $280. Just trying to decide now whether its better to fork out more money on the door speakers or the rear 6x9's. Im not going to be adding subs nor probally another amp. Let me know what you think about these speakers.
