Hello everyone,

My 05 tsx is about set on looks at this point i just want a little more power out of it. I am looking to upgrade to the 06 intake cam and a 06 throttle body.

My question is do i need to retune anything or is it just drop it in and i am good to go? Or would you recommend running another setup. I heard some people running the 09 tsx intake cam with other parts but yet to really read about that.

I only have intake, and full exhaust with test pipe. I want to tune it but don't know if i should go with k-pro or hondata...also read about using a 06+ ecu for the hondata tune.

Hello, let me see if i can help

1. for you first ?, 06 TB should be plug and play in no issues, for anything involving cams you need to tune otherwise your car will run the cam thinking it still has a 04-05 cam when 06 is in there
2. GET Flashpro first. Kpro is really good also but imo uless your going turbo not worth it. i could be wrong again just opinion.
3. goes back to #2 if you want to do anything involving tuning (example - drop in cams 06 or 09 or aftermarket, VtC to 45 degree, rbc or rrc mani.) your gonna need flashpro in the future. so get it first which also you can load a base map which is the same thing as a Reflash only you dont have to send out your ECU.also for kpro you need a RSX ecu and adapter, flash pro you need 07-08 tsx ecu and adapter
4. if your not trying to do any of that then yes by all means get the reflash its 295 plus shipping your ecu really easy.
5. Hondata makes KPRO btw and not sure about 06 ecu, dont think itll workunless its a 6 speed MT.

you would need an 07-08 ECU. I just dropped that in my 05 MT and i'm also running just a basemap with a couple of modifications. DEFINITELY WORTH it for flashpro.

Thank you much man that is exactly what i am looking for. I could not seem to find this kind of information directly saying this is what i need. Now you mentioned about the VTC 45; i have seen people running 40, 50 also. And how do i go about finding someone that can help me tune the car to a safe range?

Yes it is a 6speed also so i am good there

K20a is your best friend when it comes to power

If you never plan on boosting over 10psi Flashpro is more than sufficient.

Max VTC varies motor to motor because of tolerances. Its always recommended that your clay your motor before finding your max VTC.
